Surrey League Cross Country - Junior Boys Richmond Park, Junior Girls Nonsuch Park - 15th Oct 2016

Well done to all of our Junior athletes who turned out on Saturday to represent the Club. Everyone gave it 100% (or as they say in the mathematically challenged world of  The X Factor, 110%) and seemed to have enjoyed themselves. I certainly did - watching is so much easier than competing. I didn’t feel a thing. Some excellent performances, with quite a few athletes competing for the first time. Mentions for Zayd who  is coming back into form after a very long lay-off with an achilles injury, Dauphine who continues to improve in leaps and bounds and Freya and Artemis running remarkably well to finish 3rd and 4th in the Girls U11’s in their first ever Cross Country race.  The training schedule we have mapped out for the next three months is becoming progressively more testing but our athletes continue to turn up and get stuck in (even if they do mumble and moan under their breath.) And there's more to come as we progress. There will be even more athletes turning out for the next Surrey League meeting and the team spirit is terrific. But, everyone deserves a big clap. Coaches Terry and Warren are proud of them. The future's bright. The future's purple (with apologies to a now defunct mobile network provider). Junior Boys Squad Back Row: L-R Ilyas, Julius, Johnnie Front Row: Henry, Blaine, Zayd, Tassilo, Joseph
