Rosenheim Match 3 Report
Rosenheim Match 3 Wimbledon
Wednesday 1oth June
A return to form for Belgrave Harriers at the third match of the league competition which was held on a sunny evening in Wimbledon.
Men's Competition
The big guns were on hand to ensure Belgrave locked in another win after a slip in the previous match at Croydon. Most notably international sprint star and long time Belgravian Dwain Chambers slipped on the claret and gold to compete in the 200m and 4x2oom relay. The presence of a world class athlete had everyone buzzing and there were great performances across the board with Paskar Owor running a superb 800m to take the win after a gutsy opening lap from the Hercules Wimbledon athlete, before claiming another 6 points in the 3000m.
AJ Bennetts finished in first place in the high jump and Adam Cameron ran a tough 400m to finish third whilst Gus Upton battled it out in the 1500m to finish third in a sprint finish. JC Doukrou continued to develop his 110m hurdles technique as he took second place in a dip finish before coming third in the long jump. Tom Ikeda took care of the throws finishing second in the shot put and taking first place in the javelin as his season progresses nicely.
A brilliant run in the 4x200m relay from Matt Threadgold, Dwain Chambers, Adam Cameron and James Kasirye-Sebalu ensured a memorable fixture and match win for Belgrave in fine fashion.
The depth of the men's team was apparent in our non-scoring races with Matt Threadgold, Sam Shore, Adam Dudgeon, Gareth Holden, Liam Clifford, Michael McBrinn, Fraser Logan, James Kasirye-Sebalu, Nathanael Kennedy and David Zammitt putting solid performances on the track.

Women's Competition
The ladies had a successful evening winning all but one of the events they competed in but unfortunately not having a relay team meant conceding the match win to hosts Hercules Wimbeldon.
Rose O'Brien won the 400m and long jump, whilst Leanne Bettis claimed victory in the shot put and Sally Underhill ran a very tactical race to finish second in the 1500m. Non-scorer Natalie Sacre made her debut running in the 400m.
