Belgrave Endurance Night: Club hosts first 3k races since lockdown
Belgrave has been granted a licence to hold what looks to be the country’s first 3000m track races since lockdown.
The evening of graded 3k races will be held on Wednesday August 12th.
With a maximum of six athletes per race, the races will take place every 15 minutes, starting with a race targeting an 11:00 finish and concluding with an A-race targeting 8:10.
Entries can be made through the Opentrack online entry portal (run by Belgravian Gus Upton, incidentally) and queries should be made to men’s team manager Steve Gardner via email: stephendgardner@gmail.com.
Due to Covid-safe precautions, no spectators will be permitted inside the Millennium Arena, and all athletes will complete their warmups and cooldowns in the park outside the arena.
The club is especially grateful to our officials who have given up their time at short notice, without whom this event could not go ahead.
