Something that was missed and deserved some massive respect to our GB Men
It was good to see our sprinters competing in the Worlds Championship trials in Birmingham on the first weekend in July.
Dwain Chambers, Greg Cackett and Sam Ige all negotiated the first round of the 100m successfully with Sam running a new pb in 10.62 secs.
Unfortunately, Greg had to then withdraw through injury and Dwain was very unlucky not to go through to the final after coming third in his semi final in 10.31 secs.
In a slow 5000m, Nick Goolab decided to pull out mid race as the pace was not sufficient to obtain the qualifying standard. This was unfortunate as Nick has been running brilliantly this season and just hope he will be able to achieve the standard racing abroad.
