Weekend summary - Belgravians post many good results

It has been a busy weekend for the club with plenty to cheer. At the Fulham Palace parkrun, men’s TM’s Chas and Will duelled for age-group bragging rights.  W offered a tangy 82.36% but C suavely raised all in to 82.40%.  Stuck in the middle of the two aging hipsters, Knut showed them both how it’s done with an 84.79%.  That shut them up.  Zek took the overall spoils. For the ladies, Sally and Fi had a hard fought battle.1 Z Abery 15:58; 6 W Cockerell 16:49; 13 K Hegvold 17:58; 63 C Dickinson 20:44.Women: 3 S Underhill 19:47; 4 F Maddocks 20:03.Over at Bushy, Zoe Vail Smith showed that she’s steadily getting back to her A-game after a virus wiped out the first couple of months of her year.  Her 18:18 leaves her feeling entirely unfulfilled however, and it’s blinkers on to be a 17 gal by the summer. At the Bath Half Sophie Carter clocked a solid 80:28 for 9th.Flic Cole fancied something a little more extravagant, so opted for the Grizzly 20, at which she placed 5th in 2:54:51.Paul Lowe came 4th at the Surrey Half.  He did it the hard way by carding a bonkers 32:29 for the first 10k, as Thames' skipper Matt Jones was in no mood for messin'.  Paul backed off and finished with 71:49.  He's at least a minute better than that as more circumspect pacing and a bigger pack at Reading will show.  Matt Taylor lurked a little way back in 5th in 72:21.Over at the BMAF indoors at Lee Valley, Sam Amend won W35 gold with a useful 10:13.87 for 2nd overall to the evergreen W45 Lucy Elliott. And finally, also at Lee, there’s great news of our co-captain Zoe Doyle who's putting her injury nightmare behind her to grab silver in the W35 400 (losing to the world champion) in 62; and gold in the 800 in 2:21.
