Kingsmeadow, Sunday 11 September[ezcol_1half]The Under 15 boys relay consisted of Nicholas Hamilton, Rayon Edwards, Inza Dosso and Kweku Siaw. It was a great run from the four 14-year-olds who were just pipped into second place with a solid time of 46:92. The boys were pretty happy with their silver medals.Then came our Under 17 boys relay team which consisted of Matthew De Rossi (15), Izzy Shaw (15), Harry Grindle (15) and Kyle Reynolds-Warmington (14). Finishing the race 50m ahead of the second place team in a time of 43:36 the boys were thrilled to have had such a convincing win after all their training. However the tables were turned 50 minutes later when they stepped up to take their medals only to be told that they were in fact disqualified. Despite the tenious and ever changing reasons for why they had been DQ'd including dropping the baton 15m after the finish line the boys were very chuffed with their performance and the prospect of future potential together as a solid, fast relay team.A big congratulations to the eight boys for their runs and to the coaching team Andrea Lynch, Chris Husbands, Sian Goodlad and co for getting the boys to the line.FULL RESULTS[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]
