Rosenheim Match 2 - Croydon
Rosenheim League, Match 2
Croydon, Wednesday 24 JuneReport by Robert Norville
This is probably the least favourite destination for most clubs in the Rosenheim league with a poor turnout overall. Our threadbare team was made up of a few U17s, a couple of seniors and a few Vets.
Mia Callenburg showed good form in winning both the shot putt and discus whilst Lizzy Goldie-Scott comfortably won the 3000m. Maureen Noel gave a typical show of team spirit by running the 100m, 200m, 400m and 1500m.
In the men’s match, Chris Privett won the discus and came 2nd in the shot putt. Scoring for the first time in a senior match, our U17 Jordaine Wilson came 3rd in the 100m and Jarvarne Gordon-Brown came 4th in the long lump before Roy Osei-Akoto trotted round the 400m for 6th place. Andrius Jaksevicius then ran a good 3000m race for 1st place.
