Nominations now open for 2022/23 committee positions
Nominations for Belgrave Harriers committee positions in 2022/23 opened on 26th July 2022 and will close on 15th August at noon.
This is your chance to get more involved with the running of the club and help shape how we operate in the future.
All positions are reelected every year, with the exception of General Secretary, which is on a two-year cycle.
Members may nominate themselves or others for any position(s). Voting takes place electronically and by post between 16th August and the AGM in September.

President
The President is the figurehead of Belgrave Harriers, representing the club to outside members. They represent us in every way, including Club performance, finances and members' welfare.
The President must meet one of the following criteria:
Is a Life Member
Has been a member of Belgrave Harriers for 10 years or more
Has been a member of Belgrave Harriers committee for 3 years or more
Has significantly contributed to the Club in ways not described by the above, at the discretion of the Past Presidents and Committee
Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for all the fun stuff - management of all Club finances, including payment of coaches, accruing of accounts, monitoring budgets and organising Club audits.
Please note that due to its complexity, the Treasurer role must be held for a minimum of two years.
General Secretary
The General Secretary is responsible for the continued monitoring and management of all Coaches, Officials and Athletes within the parameters set out by England Athletics. The General Secretary also compiles and organises Committee Meetings and deals with complaints.

Chairperson
The Chairperson is responsible for chairing all Committee meetings, Annual General Meetings and Extraordinary General Meetings.
Membership Secretary
The Membership Secretary is responsible for management of all members’ membership status and the safe storage of their data. This includes management of current/previous Club affiliation.
Coaching Secretary
The Coaching Secretary is responsible for coordinating all coaching within Belgrave, including managing training plans across coaches, organising coaches training and increasing the numbers of coaches.
Officials Secretary
The Officials Secretary is responsible for coordinating all Officials within Belgrave, including organising officials for home events, organising training of Officials and increasing the numbers of Officials.
Clothing Secretary
The Clothing Secretary ensures all Belgrave Members are well kitted out. From our coveted claret and gold competition kit to a range of stylish training kit, the Clothing Secretary is responsible for making sure our supply meets our demand.
Planning and Sponsorship Secretary
Responsible for securing partnerships with appropriate brands and sponsors to help the club achieve its aims.
Marketing and Publicity Secretary
The Marketing and Publicity Secretary is the face of Belgrave Harriers to the public. The M&P Secretary will be in charge of the Belgrave Instagram account, showing the achievements of Belgrave to the world. They will also liaise with the website officers to make sure our home page is up to date and on-brand, and work to promote the image of Belgrave across different media.
Social Secretary
Once all the hard work is complete and the medals have been collected, social events take priority. The Social Secretary makes sure both the budget and the venues are in place for our members to enjoy each others company and celebrate our successes.
Safeguarding Officers
Our Members' welfare is at the core of what Belgrave provide - after all, happy athletes are better athletes!
Our safe-guarding officers (one male and one female) will make sure that all our members' welfare is maintained. They are responsible for dealing with complaints promptly and sensitively, and making sure feedback is properly presented to everyone.
Women’s Road and XC team manager
The Women’s Road and Cross Country Team Manager makes sure the team runs smoothly. Organising teams, transport, entry fees, officials, marshals, all of these fall within the remit of this role - basically anything that allows the runners to run their best!
Men’s Road and XC team manager
The Team Manager for Men's Road and Cross Country makes sure the team runs smoothly. Organising teams, transport, entry fees, officials, marshals, all of these fall within the remit of this role - basically anything that allows the runners to run their best!
NAL team manager
The Team Manager for the National Athletics League is responsible for coordinating the athletes within this league. The NAL is the highest standard of league competition Belgrave offer, and Team Manager duties include liaising with the league committee to keep on top of any changes, compiling athlete credentials, organising transport to and from the matches and organising our home competitions.
SAL team manager
The Team Manager for the Southern Athletics League is responsible for coordinating the athletes within this league. The Team Manager duties include liaising with the league committee to keep on top of any changes, compiling athlete credentials, organising transport to and from the matches and organising our home competitions.
Rosenheim League team manager
The Rosenheim is a staple of a Belgravian's Wednesday evenings in the summer. As Team Manager you'll organise the team in advance and be present on the night, ensuring the gaps are filled and everyone's in a position to run their best. You'll also be responsible for organising our home events - this includes lining up officials and volunteers.
Junior XC and middle distance team manager
Responsible for organising the junior athletes for Road Races, Cross Country events and Middle Distance teams for track events. This will include organising transport, competition entries, volunteers and officials where necessary.
Junior Sprints and Field Team Manager
Responsible for organising the junior athletes for Track and Field events. This will include organising transport, competition entries, volunteers and officials where necessary.
Race Walking
The Team Manager for Race Walking is responsible for coordinating the athletes within this event. The Team Manager duties include liaising with the event managers, arranging transport to and from the matches and organising our home competitions.
