National Road Relay Championships
Saturday 5 April.Belgrave's women's team turned in a really solid performance with a final placing of 10th from the 40 teams that finished - from memory our second best performance ever - and are showing that relentless rise towards medals in national championships. Tish Jones set the tenth best time of the day. The men's team, with quite a few top runners unavailable, had a target of a top ten placing but things went awry on stage one when an ill Will Cockerell had no option but to run as we had no reserves - either on the course or at home. He courageously kept going and the team then fought well to work back into the field with Paskar Owor and Craig Ruddy both having very good runs. James Kelly had flown all the way back from New York to take part in this classic race. The team ended up 19th which was a pretty respectable result.Men's Race Report Men's Results Men's Stage ResultsWomen's Race Report Women's Results Women's Stage Results
