Greg Cackett opens his season with a windy 10.24
Active Newham Open Series
Newham, Sunday 5th June 2016
Once again the warm weather training gremlin has struck Greg Cackett. Returning from Florida with a slight hamstring tear it has taken till now for him to put his fitness to the test. So it was with sense of relief that he completed heats and a final in the Active Newham Open series held at Newham on Sunday 5th June.
Coasting to 10.31w in the heats he eased out of the blocks in the final to record an equal best performance of 10.24 aided by a 3.1m/s following wind. The good news is that there has been no adverse reaction and as rehab continues the signs are there for something spectacular as he builds up for the British trials. He is planning to run at our SAL home fixture at the Millennium Arena on the 18th June so do come along and support him and the rest of the team.
