Coronavirus: Membership fees for 2020/21 suspended; Belgrave Hall closed until further notice
Belgrave will be suspending membership fees and closing Belgrave Hall until further notice.
The club announced earlier in the week that all organised training is cancelled. Further to that, we ask members not to train in groups away from formal sessions either.
The Millennium Arena at Battersea Park and Tooting Bec track in Tooting are already closed to the public.
Subscription fees for 2020/21 would have been due on April 1st but we will not be asking for that payment until the situation becomes clearer. We do not know yet when or if England Athletics will ask us for affiliation fees.
We will continue to monitor the situation and abide by government advice on social distancing for the good of our members, the general public and the NHS.
As of March 21st, government advice on exercise states: “You can also go for a walk or exercise outdoors if you stay more than 2 metres from others.”
We anticipate that England Athletics, and by extension Belgrave, will only be asking for membership and affiliation fees once the situation has improved enough for competitions to resume.
