Belgrave make it 2 wins from 2 in the Rosenheim League

Rosenheim League Match 2, Croydon Arena, 22nd June 2022

A small but enthusiastic group of Belgrave athletes made the journey to Croydon for the second Rosenheim match of the season. On the evening of a London-wide train strike, the journey for some was made quite difficult.

But the other teams in the league had the same problems (perhaps less so host club Croydon) and with some fine individual performances, the combined Belgrave men and women's teams came out top on the day.

Notable performances were:

• Joanne Peak 1st 100m and 2nd in the 200m

• Rachel Donnison 1st 400m

• James Roberts 1st 800m

• Sam Sommerville 1st 1500m

• Nick Buckle 1st 3000m (although beaten by non-scorer Conall McNally)

• Tom Ikeda 1st shot put

• Frida Engstrom 1st shot put

• Sophie Burn 1st javelin

• Belgrave Women 1st 4 x 200 relay
